TEN PERCENT FOR CONSERVATION

Conservation is Upstream Journey's number one priority. That's why we donate ten percent of the sales price of each product to protecting the great outdoors. Every product we sell is designed to promote a specific cause, and the ten percent donation goes directly to the organization leading that fight. These funds will help ensure the great outdoors is conserved for the next generation.

SAVE THE CHUITNA

SAVE THE CHUITNA

There are few places left in the United States as pristine and untouched as Alaska’s Chuitna Watershed. In a world where wild salmon stocks have been depleted by over-exploitation and habitat loss, the Chuitna remains one of the world’s last salmon strongholds and boasts abundant runs of all five species of wild Pacific salmon, which supports vibrant commercial, subsistence, and recreational fishing. But this irreplaceable salmon wilderness and the people that rely on it are now staring down the barrel of destruction due to the proposed Chuitna Mine.

WILD STEELHEAD COALITION

WILD STEELHEAD COALITION

Wild Steelhead Coalition (WSC) is an organization of conscientious steelhead anglers and advocates working to increase the return of wild steelhead to the rivers and streams of the West Coast. These iconic fish have been reduced to a fraction of their historic numbers as a result of over-harvest, habitat loss, ineffective hatchery practices, human-constructed barriers to migration, and misguided management strategies. WSC seeks to enact meaningful changes to these detrimental policies, institutions, and attitudes to reverse the rising tide of declining steelhead populations before it is too late.
